Cryptic Jeopardy

Well, a big international event is coming soon to my hometown and country, so here's a little brain-teaser for you. Kind of a cryptic Jeopardy. Instead of a normal Jeopardy where I give you the answer and you guess the question, the pictures are a clue to the answer. So, what then is the question?

Sorry, there's no prize. You are just competing for honour and glory.

PS - I am thinking normal blog transmission will resume in another month or two.

My guess: two most expensive pencils in the collection.

Hi Anonymous, thanks for the guess. Actually, it's probably too difficult, so I'll give another clue...it is to do with the big international event

While trying to compensate my non-existant Rugby knowledge with the excessive use of Google I came across Women's Rugby World Cup 2010 star Danielle Waterman. Am I on the right track?

Mechanica, and hemisphere...... Japan and France....
oh I don`t know what answer is :(

I think Ralrara got it right! The fourth match on this years world rugby cup, (NZ Sept. 9 / Oct. 23) is France vs Japan on Saturday September 10 at 18.00H on North Harbour Stadium in Albany, North Shore city. The All Blacks will inaugurate the tournament on Friday Sept 9 at 20.30 on Eden Park in Auckland in a match with Tonga.
Also, I don't think those are the two most expensive pencils in Dave's collection! ;-)

Totally forgot. The question would be something like: Which teams will be playing in North Harbour Stadium on September 10?

Yes, Ralrara and Ricardo are on the right track, and near enough. The correct Jeopardy Question is "Which Rugby World Cup match will Mr and Mrs Dave be going to?" and the answer is of course "Japan v France".

Hi Dave,

I would like to get one of this Pentel Mechanica, but I can't find it online. Do you have any idea where I might try to get it?
Thanks!

Mechanica's are long gone.
eBay and maybe some specialist online sellers are your only source.

Congratulations on winning the world cup...so close, but deserved winners.
This was quite a prophetic post in the end.

Congratulations to the NZ team & fans!
I don't know if there is a New Zealand pencil brand... If so, a photo should be added to this Jeopardy! entry ;-)

Just wondering, what would one be expecting to pay for a Mechanica now (New/Old Stock or Used but in great condition)?

Such a beautiful pencil.

@Joseph: I saw one some time ago on that eBay place. It was upward of $150.
