Some of you will have previously visited Jonathan Veley’s pencil museum (link in the sidebar). Well, Jonathan recently contacted me to tell me his book on American Pencils will soon be published. You can see some details about the book on and sign up for a copy on his website. While there, do visit the mechanical pencil museum, and take a look at that opening image.

A real wall of wall to wall pencils. Amazing
Oh that`s very interesting.
I wish I can get it^
Yay, I live 30 minutes away from him :D
I just had to tell you that I think the site is awesome. I used to only love mechanical pencils, until I found out that not every pen writes as crappy as a $0.10 BIC pen.
Now I use only good pens, and the occasional MP. I absolutely REFUSE to use a pencil unless it is a MP. I will not use a pencil that has to be sharpened. And I prefer the lead to be .5mm.
My passion is pens and paper/notebooks, but the site is great.
