  4. Hi Matthias. Not sure how things will pan out with publishing things on the blog, but I do plan a couple of reviews, although they will probably be a few months away.

  5. Sorry, how rude of me. I meant to also say thanks to H and Anonymous for dropping by.

  6. Looking forward to your reviews and a possible update to your TOP 10 lists! Sadly, some of the "affordable" pencils are no longer like the PILOT H-100x series. So the TOP 10 affordable pencils will need some adjusting!

During the time your blog was closed, did you make any new pencil acquisitions?

  7. I made a small number of acquisitions whilst I was in silent mode, but nothing too exciting :)

Hmmm, blog maintenance. That's going to be a drama. I just ran a broken links scan on the blog and got a bewildering number of results. So many blogs gone, so many blogs and commercial websites reorganized so all their links are broken. Take me ages just to repair them all let alone update things like price scales, Top lists, etc.

  8. "Hmmmm, blog maintenance. That's going to be a drama." No doubt! But nobody is expecting you'd do it all in one shot. Probably best to work your way backwards in descending order of post date. There has certainly been a lot of changes out there, with blogs disappearing, companies changing their websites to new organizations (breaking old links), etc.

Maybe some kind of "catch up" post, where you address some of the more prominent changes in the mechanical pencil industry over the past 8 years. Firstly, the price drops (many more affordable pencils now). For example, the rOtring 800 became much more affordable, in discount channels. Secondly, the new tech improvements. Kuru Toga has progressed (the Advance model increased lead rotation rate). And third, the micro-company pencil makers, many funded through Kickstarter. For example, the Spoke-4 is well worth a mention. So... it's not like you're coming back to dullsville. Lots going on! :-)
