It's his Pilot H-325 and the image is 1600 x 1200 pixels. Hopefully if you click on the image you will get a full size high resolution copy that you should then be able to download, save and use as your screen background.
Thanks Wes.

ReplyDeleteThat's a great idea!
ReplyDeleteQuite possibly one of the better looking value-range offerings from Pilot. Got a few translucent yellow and turquoise already. It's always fun to check out a Kinokuniya stationery store, for other colors in my preferred 0.5 and 0.3 mm sizes.
ReplyDeleteIt is named Pilot S3 in Japan. It is absolutely well made for the price. I proudly recommend, and I am glad that it is introduced here.
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to your every post.
Great photo although I find those two pencil marks on the paper distracting and draw attention away from the pencil itself.
ReplyDeleteWow! What are the odds? This has been my only drafting MP till just a few days ago. I broke it after two years of daily use . . . the drafting tip is bent, the entire tip piece unscrews on its own, the eraser is stuck all the way inside the chamber, and the lead pipe that covers the eraser got so bent out of shape that it no longer fits into the body of the pencil. I had used it for an exam that day, and then it died.
ReplyDeleteNot a bad pencil! My only complaint is that it wasn't a side-advance, which I suspected might be more convenient. I picked up a 0.5 mm Quicker Clicker as its replacement.
It was the same color too. Oops.
ReplyDeleteI got 30 of these Pilots off ebay for a deal all different colors( I thought it was prefect ) been using a Pentel Graph 500 .5mm instead which is perfect =)
ReplyDeletehey dave, what do you think the possibility of a picture section could be? I bought a new DSLR and I've been fairly busy practicing macro shots with my pencils. Would be a cool way to share with people.
ReplyDeleteNice picture. I have a few of those... really nice pencils :)
ReplyDelete@Eric - I support the request. I'm a macro fan too. Today I received an old Pentax M 50mm MACRO lens from 1980 or so - a brilliant piece if glass! I also own a bellows from then and some more useful things.
ReplyDeleteThis is great! I would love to have a wallpaper of a Pentel P205. I've been using the same P205 since 1982.
ReplyDeleteI'd just like to say that I appreciate all the responses that have been posted of my pic. I also think that a picture section would be a great addition to this site. I'd love so see the different creations of other pencil fanatics.
ReplyDeleteHow about a Flickr group?
ReplyDeleteThere is an existing Flickr Group. It's MP Junkies - see the sidebar link "Image Gallery Links" in the Pencil Links section. I think thats public. If people do want to start using that, or create a new gallery at Flickr or Picasa or somewhere I'm very happy to advertise it, etc.
ReplyDeleteThis H-325 reminded me of my student times and my H-225 (transparent, steel lead reserve tube). So I got one H-325 (H-325-NC). In addition to writing/drawing it is also aesthetics. So also my H-325 is transparent with white markings and black reserve lead tube. So I had to get this S3 (HPS-30R-NC5), transparent too with black markings and white reserve lead tube. So there's a pile of harmony, beauty and function in this pair of mechanical pencils.
