So, yes you turn the golden tip section to advance or retract the lead and it comes to a stop when the lead has been fully advanced and ejected. Sounds like your mechanism is broken like I suspected.Kiwi-dhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04092604091185842213noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21675608.post-62188771844274425032011-04-30T00:14:26.646+12:002011-04-30T00:14:26.646+12:00Thank you. Do you know places where it could be repaired, the mechanism?Nikirahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05307823443436534532noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21675608.post-82496050649356814592011-04-27T17:59:41.467+12:002011-04-27T17:59:41.467+12:00Nikira,

Obviously after this blog post I put them back into...the wrong place. I've looked everywhere but they are nowhere to be found. Bizarre.<br />So, I can't help much. It sounds to me though as if your mechanism is broken. It happens to a lot of these screw mechanisms. They break and thenKiwi-dhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04092604091185842213noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21675608.post-9395910468908968502011-04-26T10:03:07.505+12:002011-04-26T10:03:07.505+12:00Hi, Dave! I was trying to screw lead from the top and it doesn't move when I turn the end, it is going non stop without any changes with lead. Unscrewed top part has upside down old red eraser and mechanism is hard to see in black hole of the bottom part. I am thinking Nikirahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05307823443436534532noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21675608.post-70544203254281772972011-02-15T13:27:56.813+13:002011-02-15T13:27:56.813+13:00Thanks Arne. Thanks Arne.Kiwi-dhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04092604091185842213noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21675608.post-76995599088883820502011-02-15T13:14:59.101+13:002011-02-15T13:14:59.101+13:00Dave,

Surely a company that manufactures fountain pens should know a little something about mechanical pencils as well - especially when the internal mechanism of a pencil is so much simpler?
