I think the Zebra Delguard is what really drove adoption of 0.3, it seems easier to find, greater accessibility. Even though 0.5mm is still clearly the most popular it really lost a significant percentage.<br /><br />In the US I'm seeing a many Pentel pencils being sold in the 0.7mm variety.
