If your Duofold is a modern one, i.e. 1980's or so onwards then.. "Rotate cap clockwise to expel any lead residue and then rewind fully. Drop new lead in through the tip and wind out about 4mm. Press lead point firmly onto hard surface to seat it into the lead holder"Kiwi-dhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04092604091185842213noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21675608.post-64871036285939093732019-06-12T03:12:24.742+12:002019-06-12T03:12:24.742+12:00I'm totally not sure, but is there any chance ...I'm totally not sure, but is there any chance that the refilling procedure is similar to the one shown in the last picture of this article?
http://davesmechanicalpencils.blogspot.com/2015/09/1940-centenary.htmlStefanonoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21675608.post-62002382328364659412019-06-11T08:33:19.476+12:002019-06-11T08:33:19.476+12:00Im struggling to refill the lead any tips?Im struggling to refill the lead any tips?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21675608.post-44881153600946566582009-11-10T16:11:07.764+13:002009-11-10T16:11:07.764+13:00sorry if the picture didnt show up.sorry if the picture didnt show up.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21675608.post-7344866879005973452009-11-10T16:10:10.066+13:002009-11-10T16:10:10.066+13:00im 11 and my name around the internet is splashkat...im 11 and my name around the internet is splashkat. i found a pencil in my bacement called the " centennial 0.5mm mechanical pencil. i think it may be plated in silver (i know alot about this stuff) and it is the only one of its kind. the paper i found with it said it is the finest mechanical pencil manufactured today, meaning 1979, as dated. i found it in an old case. on the out side it splashkatnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21675608.post-36642776180177665422009-06-25T16:48:34.641+12:002009-06-25T16:48:34.641+12:00Henrik, yes erasers are available but they are spe...Henrik, yes erasers are available but they are special and expensive import for this budget conscious collector :-)
The Duofold weighs 27g, and with a little lead extended is 135mm long and balance point is about 75mm up from the tip. As for how many pencils i own, I am currently working on fully cataloguing my collection for the very first time. Its a rather slow and laborious process, but last night I was up to line number 175 on my spreadsheet, and I'm not yet halfway through, so I imagine about 400 - 500. Rest assured I will report the number on this Kiwi-dhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04092604091185842213noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21675608.post-84623298312237195212009-06-25T09:50:37.439+12:002009-06-25T09:50:37.439+12:00how many pencil approximately do you think you own...how many pencil approximately do you think you ownPenmaniacshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08213416127301962638noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21675608.post-37012241532347799952009-06-25T09:49:10.585+12:002009-06-25T09:49:10.585+12:00what is the best eraser?
