Pentel .5mm tip had been stuck. Sewing needle wouldn't work. straightened a staple as much as I could, use a tweezers to clear from both sides of tip. Some little rubber thing came out. It wasn't necessary (I tried to put it back, but tip clogged again). Put top back on and PENCIL WORKS!!! The cans you can buy usually come with a plastic "straw" that fits inside the nozzle - the other end of the straw will fit over the tip of any sized mechanical pencil (especially useful for the smaller diameters like 0.3mm), and voila!
